The American Occupational Therapy Association INSPIRE 2027 Call for Papers is now open, and we want to see Black occupational therapy practitioners, educators, researchers, leaders, and students represented in the conference program! ✨
This is your opportunity to share your work, research, innovations, lived experiences, advocacy efforts, and practice expertise with the broader occupational therapy community. Whether your passion is education, leadership, DEI, mental health, productive aging, community health, maternal health, occupational justice, or emerging practice areas, your voice and scholarship matter.

• Posters
• Clinical Application of Research
• Student Sessions
• Tech Labs
• Pre Conference Institutes

NBOTC members are doing powerful work across academia, clinical practice, research, leadership, and community engagement. Let’s continue to increase visibility, representation, and impact within the profession by showing up in these national spaces.
Need ideas? Consider submitting on topics such as:
• Mentorship and leadership development
• Culturally responsive care
• Health equity and occupational justice
• Black maternal health
• Community based practice
• Racism and systemic barriers in healthcare and education
• Innovative teaching strategies
• Wellness and prevention initiatives
• Emerging OT practice areas
• Research advancing the distinct value of occupational therapy
Remember: your experiences, scholarship, and community work are valuable contributions to the profession.
We encourage members to collaborate, support one another, and submit proposals that reflect the excellence, innovation, and leadership within the Black OT community.
